Ackerman Deputy Administrator SUBJECT: Procedure to Update Agent Lists at Farm Service Agency Local Offices BACKGROUND: An agent list is available to producers at all Farm Service Agency (FSA) local offices. It is essential that the agent lists are complete and up-to-date. The following procedures have been developed to update agent lists at FSA local offices. ACTION: A private insurance agent may be included on the agent list for any county by providing the FSA local office with a letter from the reinsured company stating that the agent is contracted by the company and properly licensed to sell multiple peril crop insurance in that state. Upon receipt of the letter, the FSA local office will make a pen-and-ink revision to the agent list to include the agent.
