SUBJECT:  Extension of 1999 Plan of Operation (Plan) Submissions

At the request of private insurance companies reinsured by the Federal Crop Insurance
Corporation, the Risk Management Agency (RMA) will extend the April 1 date for submitting
1999 Plans to April 30, 1998.   If the Agriculture Research Conference Committee proposals are
approved by Congress, RMA will then determine if an additional extension is necessary.
