SUBJECT:     Contract Change Date Extension for the Pilot Florida Fruit Tree Crop Insurance

BACKGROUND:

The Risk Management Agency is in the process of incorporating Asiatic Citrus Canker disease as a cause of loss in the Pilot Florida Fruit Tree Crop Insurance Program for the 2000 crop year. The scheduled contract change date is August 31, 1999; but to provide adequate time for policy development an extension is necessary.

ACTION:

The contract change date for the Pilot Florida Fruit Tree Crop Insurance Program for the 2000 crop year is extended to October 4, 1999. All reinsured companies must notify carry-over policyholders of this contract change date extension in writing no later than August 31, 1999.

DISPOSAL:

This bulletin is for the purpose of transmitting/updating information and the expiration date is December 31, 1999.
