Waggoner Deputy Administrator SUBJECT: New Crop Provisions for Crops with a June 30, 1998, or Earlier Contract Change Date The Risk Management Agency (RMA) placed on the Reporting Organization (RO) Server the new crop provisions that will be effective for the 1999 and succeeding crop years (1998 crop year for raisins) for the following crops with a June 30, 1998, or earlier contract change date: raisins, forage seeding, fresh market pepper, fresh market sweet corn, fresh market tomato (Dollar Plan), forage production, and sugarcane. A brief description of the significant changes has been included for each document. This information is also available on the RMA WebSite at: ttp://www.act.fcic.usda.gov/actuarial/index.html under the FTP Download directory. Policies in PDF format are located in the MISC/PDFfiles directory. Policies in WordPerfect format are located in the MISC/WPDfiles directory. The 1999 crop policies that have multiple contract change dates, including a June 30, 1998, contract change date, and were previously placed on the RO Server are not included in this release. The Nursery Crop Provisions that will be effective for the 1999 and succeeding crop years are not included in this release since the new regulations proposed for the 1999 crop year are in the regulatory process. The Nursery Crop Provisions and other new crop provisions with contract change dates later than June 30,1998, that will be effective for the 1999 crop year, will be placed on the RO Server in the near future. These policies are consistent with the Actuarial filing and must be issued to all new and carryover insureds for the 1999 crop year (1998 crop year for raisins) at least 30 days prior to the cancellation date.
