SUBJECT: 1998 Crop Revenue Coverage and Income Protection Wheat Price Announcements


                      Crop Revenue Coverage

The 1998 harvest prices for Crop Revenue Coverage (CRC) Wheat for States whose harvest
price is based on the Chicago or Kansas City Board of Trade July 1998 wheat contract are as
follows:

              Board of Trade                     Harvest Price

              Chicago Board of Trade             $2.68 per bushel

              Kansas City Board of Trade         $2.89 per bushel


                        Income Protection

The 1998 harvest price for Income Protection (IP) Wheat for States whose harvest price is based
on the Chicago Board of Trade July 1998 wheat contract is $2.82 per bushel.
