SUBJECT: 1998 Income Protection (IP) and Crop Revenue Coverage (CRC) Soybean
         Harvest Prices

                         Income Protection Coverage

The 1998 harvest price for Income Protection (IP) Soybeans as defined in the IP crop provisions
is $5.46 per bushel.

                         Crop Revenue Coverage

The 1998 harvest prices for Crop Revenue Coverage (CRC) Soybeans, as defined in the CRC
Commodity Exchange Endorsement, for counties with a March 15 Cancellation date  are as
follows:

                              100%           $5.46  per bushel
                               95%           $5.19  per bushel
