SUBJECT:  1999 Income Protection Premium Calculation Worksheet and Complete List of
          1999 Expansion Counties

BACKGROUND:

The Board of Directors of the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation approved the following for the
Income Protection pilot program spring crops for the 1999 crop year:
     
     Added coverage for barley in selected States and counties;
     Expanded area of coverage for corn and soybeans in selected States and counties;
     Expanded area of coverage and additional coverage levels (80 percent and 85 percent) for
          spring wheat in selected States and counties; and
     Added coverage under the new Indexed Income Protection design for corn and soybeans.

ACTION:

A revised Premium Calculation Worksheet (revised to accommodate Indexed Income Protection)
for the 1999 and succeeding crop years and a complete list of all expansion counties for Income
Protection for the 1999 crop year are available electronically via the Reporting Organization
server.  This information is also available on the RMA WebSite at:
