SUBJECT:    Crop Provisions for the Pilot Strawberry Crop Insurance Program for the 2000 Crop Year

The Risk Management Agency (RMA) has placed on the RMA WebSite at: ftp://ftp.rma.usda.gov/pub/Policies/2000/pilot/wpd, the crop provisions that will be effective beginning the 2000 crop year for strawberries. The Pilot Strawberry Crop Insurance Program has a sales closing date of September 30, 1999, for the 2000 crop year and is available in the following areas:

California - Fresno, Merced, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties;

Florida - Hillsborough and Manatee Counties;

Louisiana - Livingston and Tangipahoa Counties;

North Carolina - Brunswick, Buncombe, Columbus, Cumberland, Duplin, Guilford, Haywood, Henderson, Johnston, New Hanover, Pender, Robeson, and Wake Counties.
