Revenue Assurance

Revenue Assurance (RA) provides coverage to protect against loss of revenue caused by low prices or low yields or a combination of both. RA was available in selected states and counties for barley, canola/rapeseed, cotton, corn, rice, soybeans, sunflowers, and wheat.

This plan of insurance is no longer available beginning with the 2011 crop year. Refer to the 2011 Common Crop Insurance Policy for applicable yield and revenue protection.

*Farm Bill Amendment (09-Farm Bill) modifies the Common Crop Insurance Policy Basic Provisions, Crop Revenue Coverage Insurance Policy Basic Provisions, Revenue Assurance Insurance Policy Basic Provisions, Group Risk Plan of Insurance Basic Provisions, Group Risk Income Protection Plan of Insurance Basic Provisions, and the Income Protection Plans of Insurance for the 2009 crop year for all crops with a 2009 contract change date on or after Nov 30, 2008, and for the 2010 crop year for all crops with a 2010 contract change date prior to Oct 31, 2009.

**Sanctions Amendment modifies the Revenue Assurance Insurance Policy Basic Provisions for the 2010 and succeeding crop years.

***Enterprise Unit Amendment modifies the Revenue Assurance Insurance Policy Basic Provisions for the 2010 and succeeding crop years for all crops with a 2010 contract change date on or after Jun 30, 2009, and for the 2011 and succeeding crop years for all crops with a 2010 contract change date prior to Jun 30, 2009.
